Washington, DC
I enjoy solving problems, especially the kind that require getting my hands dirty and building something real.
I care about adding value to people's lives by building useful software, executing lean, and leading teams that ship fast. I keep this site lean on purpose because I prefer direct conversations over putting everything online.
More about me
About
I have always been the type of person who likes to build, break, and improve things. Outside work, that usually means tinkering with my 26TB home NAS on commercial hardware and chasing other hands-on projects. I also enjoy driver-focused manual cars and currently drive a Subaru STI. Cycling and boxing keep me balanced during the week.
When I am not building something, I like to travel and really get into local culture. Favorite places so far are Iceland, Italy, and Assateague Island. At home, I read a lot, play games like Uncharted, Alan Wake, and Battlefield, and watch sci-fi films, especially Interstellar.
Professional
- I started as an engineer and now lead as an engineering manager, while staying close to the build.
- I lead high-impact migrations and platform changes without slowing down delivery.
- I design event-driven services and backend integrations for real publishing and syndication workflows.
- I push for speed, reliability, and clear ownership as systems and teams scale.
- I mostly work with Python, Go, AWS, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and CloudFormation.
